The St. Paul Audubon Society put together a team of twelve to help 220 other volunteers pull Buckthorn from Snail Lake Regional Park. Ramsey County sent in teams prior to the event to cut bushes through out the park and our job was to drag the debris out to the road for pickup. Even with the cold temps, the turn out was great and (most)of the brush was cleaned out of the woodlands. The plant material will be chipped and then burned by St. Paul’s district heating program.
